A Pallas’ Fish Eagle attacks a flock of Great Cormorants in Corbett National Park
With a wingspan of up to 7 ft the Pallas’ Fish Eagle is an apex predator of freshwater ecosystems. It has an extremely limited distribution, found exclusively in some of the most productive wetlands in North and Northeastern India, such as Corbett, Kaziranga and Bhitarkarnika. This huge bird is extremely territorial and massively powerful.
