Tales From The Green Valley - October (part 2 of 12)

In this BBC documentary series we get to follow a small group of historians and archeologists as they recreate farm life from the age of the Stuarts. They wear the clothes, eat the food and use the tools, skills and technology of the 1620’s for one year. The second episode continues througout October and it’s time for gathering pears, getting the cowshed’s roof rafters ready for thatching with a bracken undercoat and a wheat thatch and driving the pigs to the forage.
