This is a cover of a song by Leonard Cohen called “Hallelujah.“ I’ve loved this song for years and lately I’ve found myself singing it quite a lot at karaoke. Most importantly, after years of admiring this song, I finally had a moment when I completely understood the lyrics. I don’t generally do covers, but when a song comes along that so precisely corresponds with what I’m feeling, well... a cover is born.
