Freak weather storm forces Sky Blues off the pitch and pelts supporters

Coventry City’s 2014/15 pre-season friendly with Nuneaton Town at Liberty Way was called to a grinding halt after a freak weather storm pelted players and supporters. A black sky, visible in the distance at half time quickly descended over Liberty Way and forced match official to take players off the pitch as thunder, lightning, torrential rain and gale force winds made the game unplayable
