New wave of protests in Tbilisi
The opposition in Tbilisi is protesting against the results of the parliamentary elections, according to which the ruling Georgian Dream Party, which advocates maintaining relations with Russia and is against anti-Russian sanctions, won.
The situation in the area of the parliament building where the protest is taking place is calm, law enforcement officers are on duty. The opposition announced its plan of further actions.
After the elections, President Salome Zurabishvili, who helps the pro-European opposition despite being bound by the constitution to be non-partisan, called on her fellow citizens to come out to protest the results of the vote.
