US Paratroopers and NATO Allies Arrive at the Ukraine Border to Enter the Battlefield More than 2,000 Paratroopers from 9 NATO Allied countries Deployed to the Ukrainian border focused on increasing interoperability and synchronizing complex operations between allied air and ground forces through aerial and aerial assault missions. Paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade and allied partners from the Royal Canadian Regiment and the Italian Folgore Brigade were also briefed on mass troops and performed jump-off procedures before they were loaded onto US Air Force C-130.
