One MILLION Dollars on roses! Production of Essential oil from Rose Petals

The “Lecheq Farm & Distillery” was established in 2016. The primary activity of the Farm & Faciity are formulated around Rose Damascena, Lavender Augustofolia and Mentha Piperita Farms. The company also experiments with other plants grown in Azerbaijan. The company has around 183 ha of plants: 145 ha of roses, 36 ha of Lavender and 2 ha of Peppermint. The equipment used for oil refining was purchased from the world’s leading companies in this industry and the production team had regular trainings to become experts in the field. The modern facility is built based on industry standards and consists of 13 copper distillery tankers and 2 Veronica pots with total capacity of 1500 tons. The processing facility is located in the middle of the company’s farmlands and picked products are sent in to production within 4-5 minutes. Lecheq produces a very fine quality essential oil from Rose Damascena (otto) flowers, cultivated at its proprietary gardens located in Zagatala region of Azerbaijan. Location of Farms is the most beneficial for growing of these types of plants, with mild winters and sunny springs. Based on its complex molecular composition, healing, beautifying and therapeutic properties of this oil is widely used in cosmetics and perfume industry. This oil is used in the most exquisite perfumes – based on its long-lasting scents achieved by the presence of hydrocarbons in its pallete. Annual production capacity is 160 kg. More than 2000 employees are attracted during the season. Being one of the biggest essential oil producers in Euroasia, Lecheq Farm & Distillery continuously works on improving and expanding its sustainability efforts.
