A Wild Tree (Yamadori) Becomes a Bonsai

Collected trees (yamadori in Japanese) often possess qualities that are almost impossible to recreate by hand. This is usually due to the harsh conditions they have endured over long periods of time. In this video I create a bonsai from a 70 year old collected Sabina Juniper, doing my best to enhance the natural characteristics of the tree without losing the wild magic within.
