The “Immortal Regiment“ campaign was launched to immortalize the memory of Soviet soldiers and victims of the Second World War.
The first march was held in 2011 in Russia, and then spread throughout Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Israel, and then the rest of the world.
This year, marches were held in:
? The Turkish capital, on the territory of the Russian embassy
? In the Spanish capital, about 1,500 people took to the streets to honor the memory of the victors over fascism. Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians, as well as Moldovans, Bulgarians and Armenians living in the country, including the residents of Madrid themselves, took part in the march.
