Live: Follow Santa Claus as he travels around the world with his reindeer on NORAD tracker
Santa Claus has officially set off on his travels to deliver presents to millions of homes around the world, and families will be able to follow his movements using the Norad Santa Tracker.
The annual tradition has been going on for over 60 years, and was set up by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad), who are responsible for monitoring US airspace.
On the website this year, children will also be able to listen to some of Santa’s favourite songs as they watch him fly, with a 41-song playlist being released for the celebration. Some of Santa’s go-to tracks include ’Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ and ’Silent Night’.
For those wondering how he manages to deliver so many presents in such a short space of time, Norad claims that Santa is in a different space-time continuum, and what is 24 hours to us, is weeks to him.
The South Pacific will be first to receive their presents, followed by Australia and New Zealand.
