Lena Horne — Just One of Those Things, from Panama Hattie (1942)

Lena Horne in her first MGM film. She had previously appeared in two low budget (all black) films including a musical feature called The Duke is Tops (1938). After she made her Hollywood nightclub debut at Felix Young’s Little Troc on the Sunset Strip she was signed with MGM becoming the first black performer to sign a long-term contract with a major Hollywood studio.
