The CIA Was Formed For ONE Reason in 1947

On a recent episode of the Jay Scott Ascension podcast, I gave a brief history of why the #CIA was formed 75 years ago: to fight #communism and specifically, Soviet #Russia. This is why the Agency formed dangerous alliances with #NazisInUkraine, Islamic terrorists in #Afghanistan, anti-#Castro #Cubans, and so-called “freedom fighters“ in #Asia during the #ColdWar to supposedly stop “the domino effect“ of communism’s spread around the world. In the 30 years since the end of the #ColdWar, the CIA has invented new enemies; new threats to justify its continued existence and unlimited budget. We ask “should this Agency even exist in the 21st Century?“ -- and what can the next president do to halt the abuses of the CIA? Can it be reformed? Should it be entirely abolished?
