Living in Russia: The Russian Language

The Russian language appears mystical and exotic to the western eye and ear. The Cyrillic alphabet dates back to the ninth century and is used through out Russia. Although at first glances the language resembles a secret code, there are some similarities to the traditional alphabet as some letters are written and pronounced as in English.
