Haunted Shores - Hellfire (Mark Holcomb Guitar Playthrough)

The official guitar playthrough for ’Hellfire’ by Haunted Shores, performed by Mark Holcomb. Pre-save the new album ’Void’ at Hellfire: This was the very first thing I wrote when the pandemic hit in early 2020. I knew I wanted to do another Haunted Shores record, and the overall ugliness of this one kind of set the tone for the rest of the songs. I had just upgraded my recording setup at home, which allowed me to focus more on composing riffs and sections piece by piece into a DAW, rather than just noodling, writing a riff, then recording it on my phone and bringing it to the band, which is a process I had relied upon up until that point. This new workflow, along with trying to improve at programming drums and bass, and a tuning that was super inspiring for me (drop G on a 6-string, or “Reptile“ tuning), really lit the fire for this song and much of the record.
