Queen Agnetha as Maria Magdalena (Jesus Christ Superstar)

The Jesus Christ Superstar wave came to Sweden in 1972. As many other young singers Agnetha wanted sing the role of Maria Magdalena. She got the role in Göteborg. During this project she learned a lot about being on stage. This experience would be very important for her in the future. The premiere of the musical took place at Scandinavium in Gothenburg on February 1972.
