The University of Redlands Choir - “Sing, My Soul, His Wondrous Love“ (’St Bees’) - John B Dykes

This wonderfully bouncy hymn is from the Columbia Records release, “God Be With You“ (1959) and gives us a happy adoring look at a God that cares about us. Music by John Bacchus Dykes, Mus. Doc.; b. Kingston-upon-Hull, 1823; d. St. Leonard’s 1876 Evangelical Lutheran Hymnal, 1908 Text: anonymous 1 Sing, my soul, his wondrous love, who, from yon bright throne above, ever watchful o’er our race, still to us extends his grace. 2 Heaven and earth by him were made; all is by his scepter swayed; what are we that he should show so much love to us below? 3 God, the merciful and good, bought us with the Savior’s blood, and, to make salvation sure, guides us by his Spirit pure. 4 Sing, my soul, adore his Name! Let his glory be thy theme: praise him till he calls thee home; trust his love for all to come. Source: Hymnal 1982: according to the use of the Episcopal Church #467
