Round Table “MENA Region After Arab Spring: Development Stagnation or Deep Social Transformations?”
On the 10th of December 2021 in the framework of the XVI Conference of Arabists “I.M. Smilyanskaya Readings“ the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies held an international round table “MENA Region After the Arab Spring: Development Stagnation or Deep Social Transformations?”.
Among the discussed issues were the following:
− What are the general trends in transformation of social structures in the Arab societies?
− How resistant are Arab political systems and regimes to social and political challenges?
− What is happening to the Arab political elites?
