Britain’s WWII Nazi Deal Plan Unveiled

Newly-released National Archive files show that a British amateur diplomat tried to make a peace deal with Germany soon after the start of World War II. With the blessing of the Foreign Office, James Lonsdale-Bryans met with a German diplomat and proposed his country could have a “free hand“ in Europe while Britain ran the rest of the world.
