Russia destroys U.S. Howitzers in Ukraine; Claims victory in Bakhmut ’quarter’ but loses commanders

In a major setback for Russian President Vladimir Putin, two Russian soldiers were killed while fighting in Bakhmut against the Ukrainian military. Meanwhile, in Kupyansk’s direction, Russian artillery fire from the Zapad Group of Forces destroyed Ukraine’s M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer and two mortars. Russia’s ground assault and army aviation also launched ten strikes on manpower and hardware concentration areas of the Ukrainian forces.
