Koyaanisqatsi: Finale The rocket sequence is actually two different rockets. The rocket leaving the launch pad is the Saturn V carrying Apollo 12 to the moon in 1969. The 1962 Atlas-Centaur explosion was an unmanned test failure but Scott Carpenter launched on Mercury-Atlas 7 just 16 days later!
