PSLV-QL launches RISAT-2BR1 and 9 small satellites
For ISRO’s PSLV-C48 mission, a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) in “QL” configuration launched RISAT-2BR1 and 9 small satellites from the First Launch Pad (FLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, on 11 December 2019, at 09:55 UTC (15:25 IST). PSLV-C48 is the second mission of PSLV-QL, a new variant of PSLV with 4 XL strap-on boosters. RISAT-2BR1 is a Radar imaging Earth observation satellite weighing about 628 kg and placed into an orbit of 576 km at an inclination of 37 degree.
