Ariane 5 launches SES-17 and SYRACUSE 4A

An Ariane 5 launch vehicle (Ariane Flight VA255) launched the SES-17 and SYRACUSE 4A satellites into Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO), a total payload of approximately 11,210 kg, from Ariane Launch Complex No. 3 (ELA 3) at Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, on 24 October 2021, at 02:10 UTC (23 October, at 23:10 local time). SES-17 is a High Throughput telecommunication satellite that provides coverage over the Americas, the Caribbean and the Atlantic Ocean.
