Roscoe sang gospel for many years and was well enough regarded to replace the legendary, tragic Archie Brownlee in the Five Blind Boys of Mississippi. He went back to church at the end of his career.
His uptown soul hit “That’s Enough“ was a secular highlight but I like him better in this downhome style, on the theme of stolen love, recorded in 1973.
