I used a series of AI to restore a video from 1929, 90 years ago!
It’s a Chinese fashion show that introduced the latest trending in Shanghai back then. It’s filmed on March 4th, 1929.
Miss Sze steps through ornamental gate and explains modern Chinese fashions in English. “The modern Chinese girl combines the fashions of the East and the West.“ She models a hand-painted evening dress. Other models show different dresses.
Three Chinese women model different hairstyles. Miss Sze explains in English while Mrs. Kum and Mrs. Fan speak in Chinese.
