Much of Hunt Slonem’s work is inspired by nature, with him often portraying bunnies, birds and butterflies in his artwork. Hunt shared this video with us where he describes his newest challenge and technique - working with diamond dust in his paintings, mostly in his rabbit paintings. This new experiment is one he has been honing for about two years, he shares that not only is the process about texture but also about light, both in the painting and in the setting and lighting the painting is displayed. You’ll notice the sounds of birds in his studio while he works - yet another one of his inspirations for his work.
After being internationally showcased all over the world and having permanent collections in over 250 museums, Hunt Slonem will be bringing his work to Bonner David Galleries. For the first time in 10 years, his work will be in Scottsdale, and we are honored to be representing him. Join us on Opening Night on October 18, 2018 from 6-9 pm to be one of the first to see his new works, and don’t miss
