Chechnya’s regional leader Ramzan Kadyrov congratulated President Putin on his 70th birthday in front of members of the security forces who gathered in the region’s capital Grozny, to mark the occasion. Kdryrov, one of Putin’s most loyal allies, sent Chechen soldiers to support Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine, notably in the eastern region of Donetsk.
