Here’s Capricorn with Billy Swan’s song, Lover Please. A big solo hit for Clyde McPhatter of The Drifters in 1962, it had been originally recorded by Bill Black. As well as writing songs, Billy Swan went on to work as a record producer and also as Kris Kristofferson’s bass player, and he put out a number of solo records, his biggest hit being “I Can Help“, which was a number one in 1974.
