Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.(with new tangos.) Rudolph Valentino

Rudolph Valentino became famous in 1921 with the release of this film. It included the famous Tango Dance scene. It shows what a talented dancer he was. I like this movie a lot, but I always wondered what it would sound like with more up to date tangos. By adding to the soundtrack 3 famous tangos , a new look is created. It is only an experiment. Three tangos were selected. A MEDIA LUZ, LA CUMPARSITA, and POR UNA CABEZA. Hope you like the music. I read that LA CUMPARSITA was a favorite tango of Valentino. The 3 instrumental tangos used here are associated with the great tango singer Carlos Gardel. According to research done over the years, it seems that Rudolph Valentino and Carlos Gardel never met. Yet both of them are very important in making the Tango popular all over the world. To have Rudolph Valentino dancing to a Gardel tango is sort of a tribute to both of them. The film is based on the novel “Los Cuatros Jinetes del Apocalipsis“ by Spanish author Vicente Blasco Ibañez.
