Strip Farming | Harvesting Red Cabbage, Carrots and Belgian Endive | CTF | Bi-Jovira Organic Farms

In this video we visit Bi-Jovira Organic Farms and we see them harvesting Red Cabbage, Carrots and Belgian Endive using self-invented and made machine’s for special use in Strip Farming. Strip farming or cropping is a method of farming on 3-metre wide strips where they are alternately nine different crops alongside each other. Creating more biodiversity in the field so the crops stay more healthy without spraying or fertilizer. They also use Controlled traffic farming (CTF) a system built on permanent wheel tracks where the crop zone and traffic lanes are permanently separate, resulting in only local compaction of the soil in the same spot every year. This favours soil life and thus the crop. For more info visit there website; (only in dutch, but you can use google translate) Thanks for watching!
