Ivo Kuusk sings “Tu che a Dio“ from “Lucia di Lammermoor“

IVO KUUSK (born in 1937) was a highly appreciated soloist of both Estonian opera theatres - the Vanemuine in Tartu and the National Opera in Tallinn - for more than 40 years (since the beginning of 1960s until the beginning of the 21st century). He started his career by singing the roles of lyric tenor, e.g. Tamino in “Die Zauberflöte“ and Lenski in “Eugen Onegin“ and ended with big dramatic parts such as the title role in Verdi’s “Othello“ and Canio in “Pagliacci“. He also performed in classical operettas as Count Zedlau in “Wiener blut“, Barinkay in “Der Zigeunerbaron“, Tassilo in “Gräfin Mariza“ and others. Ivo Kuusk is also a professor of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. This aria from Act 3 of Donizetti’s opera “Lucia di Lammermoor“ is recorded at the Estonian National Opera in 1983.
