De Havilland DH 84 IOLAR Restoring the Flying Legend

First I must thank Capt. J.J. Sullivan, one of the key members of the DH 84 Dragon project team for providing me with the VHS video of the Reconditioning Documentary for use. To edit this I try to honour all members of the Team for the dedication and quality they had and needed to complete the task. We see in the news reel in the beginning is the sister ship before its first ever passenger flight. This was also the first commercial flight for the newly formed Airline - Aer Lingus - as it is named to day. The refurbishing work begins with shots of the old DH 84 as it came out of storage to the First, and later the check flight. I thank Aer Lingus Airline and the team for giving me the opportunity to place this historic document on Youtube. The IOLA DH 84 Dragon continued to be demonstrated at Air Shows and I was privileged to record video on two occasions flying as the only passenger. This experience I plan to share with you by posting an other video clip to YouTube . Enjoy. Watch more of my videos on my Playlist:
