Captive Ring Baby Rattle - No special tools required! (Wood turning)

In this video I make a wooden baby rattle toy from cherry wood. The captured ring rattles around on the shaft and gives a fun sensory experience for babies as they are learning their motor skills. I really enjoyed this project as a beginner project as I was able to test out making beads, vee cuts, tapers and of course, the captured ring! It was pointed out to me in the comments that these style of captive rings have the possibility of breaking and then becoming a choking hazard. So if you make one, please make sure to only allow it to be used with adult supervision. If the ring looks fragile do not give it to your baby.
