KORKUT Self Propelled Air Defence System - Turkish Air Defence System: Korkut

Hello everyone, from the ANKA youtube channel, in this video, we are going to introduce you to the Korkut air defence system. The Korkut self propelled air defence weapon system efficiently provides air defence for mobile elements and mechanised units. Korkut is newly designed and developed for effective ground based air defense against modern air threats. The system consists of a team of three 35 mm Weapon Systems and one Command Control System that can operate fully autonomously. The weapon system’s command control vehicle provides: Common mission execution with armored mechanized troops Target Acquisition & Tracking with 3D Search Radar, Local Area Air Image Generation Post command control of the air defense weapon systems, The taking of engagement orders from post command, the capability of Identification of Friend or Foe with the IFF System Korkut’s weapon system vehicle provides: Common mission execution with armoured mechanised troops, Firing on the move with stabilized gun turret, Automatic ammunition feed and selection, Post command coordinated operation, Automatic target tracking with a Fire Control Radar, Target acquisition & tracking with electro optic sensors, Effective air defense with advanced fire control algorithms Korkut can fire 1100 rounds per minute with its double barreled 35mm weapon system and it has the ability to fire Airburst Ammunition, which has been developed by Aselsan. The Korkut Air Defence System platform vehicle has high mobility both on land and water due to being based on the amphibious ZMA-30 armoured vehicle, which ahs been developed by FNSS.
