Alex Box studied and exhibited as an installation artist before training to become a make-up artist, her main focus being on the relationship between bodies and the environment. As a make-up artist, she went on to explore this relationship, fusing art, science, nature and the magical for designers such as Gareth Pugh, Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Chanel.
