After a little consideration, Wrong Again chose to reinterpret a song from their debut EP, “Afraid of Being Wrong.“ Despite thinking the original song was quite alright, the band didn’t really like the way they recorded it. They decided to infuse it with a new fresh touch, incorporating female backing vocals, acoustic guitars, and keyboards.
“Rites of Summer“ is an homage to Ray Bradbury’s “Dandelion Wine“, a metaphor for packing all of the joys of summer into a single bottle. It is about a magic of simple life in contrast to involuntariness of a big-city lifestyle.
Nothing lasts forever, but some things never die.
