This kata was created by Andrea Guarelli to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of π‘†β„Žπ‘–π‘›π‘π‘œΜ„ π‘€π‘Žπ‘‘π‘Žπ‘¦π‘œπ‘ β„Žπ‘– Sensei (1921-2021) and is shown in public for the first time. It contains some techniques taught by Matayoshi Sensei which are not included in the classic katas of the Matayoshi Kobudō. The date chosen for the publication of this video Is December 27, 2021, the day on which π‘†β„Žπ‘–π‘›π‘π‘œΜ„ Sensei would have turned 100 years old. π‘†β„Žπ‘–π‘›π‘π‘œΜ„ Sensei often showed and taught some Tunkuwa techniques using the special grip (Tokushu Mochi), however these techniques are not included in the classic Matayoshi Kobudō katas that are taught today. Master Andrea Guarelli codified these techniques and taught them to his students to prevent them from being lost. For this reason he created the Tunkuwa Hojoundo Ni of and, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Shinpo Matayoshi (1921-2021), the kata Hyakushin no Tunkuwa.
