The rusted blade of an axe, elongated, casting a predatory shadow, dragged along the ground with a chilling screech. The Butcher - a serial killer, who had been holding the people of the town in horror for the second month, was looking for new victims. Sheriff had refused to investigate cases one way or another connected with the Butcher - he, like many, believed that this wasn’t just a person, but someone supernatural. The urban tale that the Butcher is a dead man who has climbed out of a disturbed grave became more and more popular. The Butcher saw the silhouette of a rapidly walking girl in front. He, like a shadow, dived around the corner of the arch and merged with the dark doorway, waiting for the moment.
