Mandatory credit: @goikoleaigor Officers of the Ertzaintza (Basque regional police) charged on Friday morning against the workers of Tubacex tube manufactures gathered at the entrance of the Basque Parliament in Vitoria-Gasteiz to protest the dismissals at the company. Around 50 officers, according to local sources, beat the workers with batons in an attempt to disperse the protest and restore road traffic. The incidents occurred after about 300 workers from the tube manufacturing company cut off the tram service in the centre of the Basque capital during a demonstration against dismissals that were effective yesterday. The dismissals affect 129 people of the nearly 800 who work in the two factories that the company has in the region. #Tubacex #VitoriaGasteiz #Spain Video ID: 20210416-019 Video on Demand: Contact: cd@ Twitter: Facebook:
