Bowlback mandolin / Stick dulcimer conversion and restoration - DarkStarGuitars

I took a hundred and some year old bowlback mandolin and converted it into a stick style dulcimer/mandolin hybrid. It was pretty thrashed and not worth restoring in it’s original state. I altered it into a fancy stick dulcimer that would fit in at Renfest. The short scale of 19 5/8“ along with Ggdg or Ggda tuning gives it a fairly mandolinish sound with the ease of play of a dulcimer. By DarkStarGuitars
