Kennington Oval, London. Various shots of men sitting at desks and studying maps at a school set up by the British Legion for ex-servicemen who want to become taxi drivers. Their instructor, ex-Inspector Turner (late Scotland Yard) walks around talking to the men. On the South Bank we see the students with bicycles looking at maps spread out on the pavement and at London A-Z books.
