Bach / Anatole Kitain, 1957: Jesu, Joy Of Man’s Desiring (arr., Hess) - Chorale, Cantata 147

In this recording released on the Counterpoint label in 1966, Russian pianist Anatole Kitain (1903-1980) performs on the Siena pianoforte the Myra Hess arrangement of Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, by JS Bach. So that there is no question in the mind of the listener, I rely principally on images of the LP and LP jacket in order to document the authenticity of historically important and extremely rare recordings such as these.
