Listen “Split Mind“ everywhere: Split Mind is a concept album in wich the main character, Rhode, lost his parents in a housefire. With each track the listener gets to know a little more about the protagonist’s personality and the facts behind the tragedy that took his parents’ lives. The result is a sound that presents, at different times, some feelings experienced by the protagonist: sadness, fear, loneliness, joy and anger. The album’s title track, nearly 20 minutes long, is an epic divided into six acts. Split Mind chronicles all the moments of Rhode’s life after the fire and the challenges he faces without his mother and father around, such as insecurity, difficulty in facing the new reality and the doubts that plague the young man’s head. All this packed by instrumental melodies with cinematic air and featuring renowned singers, from various rock and heavy metal strands, playing characters and his feelings. Charles Soulz produced the whole album. The mix interacts with the concept of the album: sometimes it has a darker sound, while in other situations it has a clearer and more open sound. Moments with more reverb give the idea of distance and forgetfulness while a few glitches help reinforce issues of Rhode’s mental nature.
