You can demonstrate Static Electricity using the strands from an old plastic sack. Take 20 strands about 50-cms long. Tie their ends and hang them vertically. Then rub them very quickly with your fingers. The strands rubbing against each other will acquire a charge and will fluff up. During the rainy season the charge leaks off fast.
