Tim Michels emerged from a primary Tuesday with the Republican nomination for governor, prevailing against former Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch in a three-month sprint of a campaign during which the construction executive spent $10 million of his own money and earned the backing of former President Donald Trump. “I conceded this race to Tim Michels, and I urge you all to stay in the fight,“ Kleefisch said from her campaign gathering in Oconomowoc. “The fight now is truly against Tony Evers, and the liberals who want to take away our way of life.“
