Storyline: Petty Officer Dylan “Dutchy“ Mulholland was awarded the Medal for Gallantry for his part in a mission that saw his Boarding Officer killed. He has now been posted to HMAS Hammersley under a new Boarding Officer - Kate “XO“ McGreggor. Dutchy isn’t able to put his past behind him and overcompensates by making rash and overly-protective decisions that repeatedly land him in conflict with Kate. When faced with a hostage situation, Dutchy freezes, crippled by his fear that the past will repeat itself. Kate tries to win Dutchy’s trust and help him regain his confidence, but he rejects her every effort. He doesn’t want her to get too close, but what he wants and what he gets are two different things. Editor’s notes: I adore these two characters and feel they have amazing chemistry. There is an underlying attraction there and I just hope one day they act on it. For now, a pr
