VSS Unity’s final flight before commercial service

Virgin Galactic conducted the second fully crewed flight of VSS Unity from Spaceport America, New Mexico, on 25 May 2023, at 15:15 UTC (09:15 local time). The second SpaceShipTwo carryied a full crew of two pilots (CJ Sturckow and Michael Masucci) and four mission specialists in the cabin: Beth Moses (Chief Astronaut Instructor), Luke Mays (Astronaut Instructor), Christopher Huie (Mission Specialist) and Jamila Gilbert (Mission Specialist). According to Virgin Galactic, “Unity 25” was “the final assessment of the full spaceflight system and astronaut experience before commercial service opens in late June”.
