Droplet interaction with thin wall films

Direct Numerical Simulations of the interaction of a droplet with a thin wall film of the same fluid. Simulation results gained with phaseFieldFoam, a diffuse interface phase-field interface capturing solver in OpenFOAM (FOAM-extend 4.0 and 4.1). Joint work with Milad Bagheri and Dr. Martin Wörner (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT) within the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre SFB-TRR 150 of the German Research Foundation DFG.
