Malaria Lifecycle Part 2: Mosquito Host (2016)

An accurate visualization of the complete Malaria lifecycle, derived from scientific data sets, microscopy and published literature on the parasite’s biology. Everything presented is accurate in scale, structure, and dynamic behavior of mosquito, parasites and human cells. The sequence visualizes the parasite infection inside a pregnant female mosquito. The camera follows the parasite as it has sex inside the mosquito’s stomach, then invades her salivary glands.
