Fix distorted bevel in Blender with Object Apply Transform

Making changes to an object, particularly through the process of scaling, can dramatically distort the appearance of modifiers such as Bevel. Scaling an object by a factor of 3 in the Z axis, for example, will also distort an applied bevel in the same manner. To remove the distortion on the bevel it is necessary to “apply“ the scale change to the object without changing its appearance. This can be done within the 3D Viewport menu via either of these options… Object - Apply - Scale Object - Apply - All Transforms It should also be noted that scale changes made to an object while in Edit mode are applied immediately. Therefore, when returning to Object Mode there will not be any scale changes or distortion applied to modifiers.
