Alidé Sans performs on July 5 at the 2018 Smithsonian Folklife Festival. She gave a wonderfully entertaining introduction to this song about the legend of an unassuming young man from the mountains who was captivated by the sound of the wind and took to the sea, where he became a famous pirate.
